Bnei Akiva.

A name that for many people causes a rush of good memories. Memories of education, values and friendship. Memories of the love of Torah, the nation and of the land. Bnei Akiva is the third biggest youth movement in Israel and the central youth movement for religious Zionists. It provided a formative experience for many of its alumni and was a prime step in creating their characters.

Even today, 88 years after the founding of the movement, the wonderful educational mission of Bnei Akiva continues to shape the next generation of religious Zionists and all of Israeli society. For many of the children who are a part of the movement, their activities within Bnei Akiva are the only thing stopping them from wandering idly in the streets.

For that reason, it is distressing that many of our members cannot afford the costs of participating in the movement. At the time that their friends are going on trips and to camps, they are forced to stay at home.

The opportunity to renew your membership will support a current student-member who needs help. Because of you, he will be able to join his friends.

The cost of participating in the project is only 24 NIS/month. A small amount of money for an big cause.

So can we offer you membership?

The Bnei Akiva Movement was founded in the Spring of 1929 with the aim "to educate generations
of young Jews to be faithful to their people and its Land, and live self-sufficiently in the spirit of the
Torah Judaism". In the 87 transpiring years Bnei Akiva has continued to grow and develop, and remain
dynamic, innovative and young in spirit, while remaining true to the core values inscribed upon its banner.
Bnei Akiva can unequivocally state that it has been
successful in fulfilling the vision of its founders, and
retaining its vitality during 80 years of continuous,
vibrant and plethoric activity.
From its inception the founders of the Movement
have stood at the crossroads of two immutable
commitments: one to Jewish Heritage and one to
the Jewish People - as individuals, as citizens of the
State of Israel and members of Israeli society. An
educational, activist, religious-Zionist movement,
Bnei Akiva has courageously chosen to engage
with the vital, fascinating and challenging interface
between these two allegiances, relinquishing neither
responsibility towards Jewish continuity over the
millennia, nor full involvement in the present life of
the nation.
For 80 years Bnei Akiva has been educating its
members – children, youth and young adults – to
actualize its values. The Movement has succeeded in
wedding its Torah-based worldview - with striving for
social justice at its core - to the value of a self-sufficient
Jewish existence in the Land of Israel as requisite for
the renewal of the Jewish People in its homeland,
and for the creation of a just society informed by the
spirit of the Torah. This is the essence of religious
Zionism, the doctrine of "Torah and Labor" and of
the Bnei Akiva Youth Movement.
